Our kits include all necessary materials and fittings to build the boats. We can't assure that small pieces won't miss, especially in small hardware like screws. Buyoancy is not included as it is cheap, easily available and a mess to ship. For paint and epoxy resins quantities are estimated following our experience. We know that there are variations from a builder to another. Before any order we provide a detailed list of what is supplied the kit.
Designs themselves are usually not included. We give a few supplementary instructions with the kit.
We use marine grade plywood following designer's instructions. If ordinary plywood is used in construction, it is included only in pre-cut version.
Pre-cutting is made with files prepared by the boat designer. If planking is longer than plywood panels, builder will need to join parts. In our recent kits this is usually very easy as scarfs are prepared and you only need to glue.
Wood included in the kit is cut and planed to the size given in the plan's material list.
Our partner for epoxy resins is well known brand Resoltech. We supply various types of ready-to-use resins for easier work.
Paints are bicomponents polyurethanes for max durability. For spars, seats and floors we use Deks Olje 1 and 2, easy to use and maintain.
Hardware is of the A4 grade.
We supply the fittings describe is the material list of plans.
Basic price is for white dacron sails with traditional trims. Those sails are also available in cream and tan colors.
We also offer "clipper canvas" cloth, a dacron cloth with a specific "cotton" touch. Colors are also cream and tan (not white) and give a very nice result.
We prepare kits on request only. So please consider at least 5 weeks time and contact us as soon as you've decided to buy a kit !
We usually ask 50% when you order and 50% at delivery.
We can arrange shipping in Europe. You can also come and take your kit and it will give us the opportunity to meet each other.
